Some markets begin with:
Who are you?
Who introduced you?
Who already works with you?
Some Asian markets can begin somewhere much more economically interesting:
How much do you have?
Then:
How often?
What sizes?
What grades?
What specifications?
What price?
When can it arrive?
Now we are speaking the ancient language of commerce.
This does not mean every counterparty in an Asian market is excellent.
Of course not.
The region is vast.
Markets differ.
Buyers differ.
Due diligence remains essential.
But where counterparties demonstrate volume capacity, execution, payment certainty and respect for source documentation, material naturally gravitates toward them.
Not from ideology.
From arithmetic.
There is something beautifully clarifying about arithmetic.
It rarely asks whether you belong.
