Editorial body
Every mature industry accidentally develops a Department of Other People's Things.
Nobody formally establishes it.
It just appears.
Its officers possess opinions about:
who should sell,
who should buy,
what something is worth,
where it should go,
who is sufficiently established,
and whether the actual owner has understood the situation correctly.
The Department can be tremendously efficient.
Especially when owners are insecure.
The easiest way to dissolve it is simple.
Know your rights.
Know your property.
Know your documentation.
Know your alternatives.
Suddenly the Department loses jurisdiction.
No legislation required.
